Helen Drake Hokit, age 86 peacefully passed away October 20, 2017 in the home of her daughter Caroline & Ray Vogt, a resident of Sonora for over 35 years where she owned Sonora Trailer Park.
She is preceded in death(from Lung Cancer) by her parents, husband Earl Ray Hokit,sister Mary Roberts.
She is also preceded in death by two brothers, CA and Robert Lee Drake and son Jesse James Wood.
Helen is survived by three children. Her daughter Caroline and husband Ray Vogt, of Kingwood,TX., son Robert Glynn Wood and wife Darlene of Jacksonville,FL., and daughter Linda Jean Johnson of Sonora.
She is also survived by nine grand children, Michael and wife Amy Stewart of Gold Hill, NC., Glynn and wife Kristy Wood of Jacksonville, FL., Angie and husband Wesley Pamplin of Mobile, AL., Kandy Lloyd of Jacksonville,FL., Brand and Chris Dennison, of Jacksonville, FL., Marlin Ellington of El Paso., Donald and Autumn Johnson of Chesapeake,VA., William and Kelly Johnson of Waskon,TX. and Jessica and Michael Desoto of Bowman, SC.
She is also survived by 16 great grand children and one great-great granddaughter.
A Memorial service will be held November 11, 2017 at the “Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church” in Sonora,TX.
Lewis Allen will be officiating.
