Leah was born on September 4, 1967, in Keokuk, Iowa to Marlene and Larry Stice. In 1972, her mother married her “Dad”, Roy Evans of San Angelo, TX, who adopted, loved and raised her.

She attended Sonora High School, and was a proud member of the class of 1985.

She also attended Angelo State University, where she met the love of her life, Ricky.

On June 20, 1987, they began their life journey together and shared 29 years of marriage in which they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Whitney and Kelsi.

After graduating from West Texas A&M, she enjoyed a career of teaching her cherished students in her beloved field of special education.

Leah never met a stranger and dedicated her life to serving others.

She took great pride in her role as a coach's wife and being everyone’s biggest fan at any sporting event. Her most beloved role came in December 2013, when she was blessed with her first granddaughter, Payton. She was blessed again in November 2015, with her grandson, Bryson. Leah loved everyone she knew, but no one quite compared to her precious grandbabies.

Leah was preceded in death by her mother, Marlene Evans, and her grandparents Betty and LaVern Brown of Keokuk, IA.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ricky Peacock of Albany; two daughters, Whitney and husband Scott Funke, and children Payton and Bryson of Wink, Kelsi Peacock and her fiancé Dee Pittillo of Nazareth, father, Roy Evans and wife Eunice of Early,
