Anna Mary Campbell Eustace

Anna Mary Eustace passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at the age of 94.  

Anna was born in Campbellton to Lucy Lee (Hamilton) and Edward Campbell on January 20, 1923.

She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Gus, infant son Gus Eustace, Jr., sister, Catherine McFadden and brother, John Campbell.

Anna spent her childhood in Campbellton and attended Campbellton schools.  

She attended Sul Ross for a year until World War II started and she went back home to help her father with his business.

During the war, she worked in civil service in several parts of the country.

On May 5, 1946, she married Gus Calvin Eustace. 

They spent most of their married life on the Arrow S and 7PL Ranches in Atascosa County and on the Harrison Ranch in Sutton and Edwards Counties, where her husband was ranch foreman for the Dan J. Harrison family of Houston.  

Anna was a devoted ranch wife and mother.  Since the Harrison Ranch sold in 1990, she has been a resident of Sonora.

Anna is survived by her children, Sherry (Bob) Johnson of Eldorado, Kari (Carl) Cloudt of Rocksprings and Joe (Melinda) Eustace of Pleasanton

She is also survived by a sister, Jean Stokes of Boerne, grandchildren, Ashley (Brent) Moore of Eldorado, Lindsay (Frank) Cranek of San Angelo, Brooks and Avery Eustace of Pleasanton, Arden (Jesse) Henderson of West Fork, AR, Merrick (Meredith) MyCue of Austin, Ferris (Shana) MyCue of Austin, Eric (Lia) Cloudt of Pipe Creek and Rebecca (Glenn) Gomes of Henderson, NV.  

Also surviving are her great-grandchildren Logan and Henry Moore, Carma, Benton and West Cloudt and Ben, Emmy and Gwen MyCue as well as numerous nieces and nephews and her dear friend and caregiver, Georgie (Gary) Lee. 

A memorial service was held Friday, June 30, 2017, at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 319 NE Mulberry in Sonora. 

Rev. Lewis Allen officiated.  

A reception followed in the Fellowship Hall.
