Loma Lee Surber

Loma Lee Surber went to be with the Lord September 27, 2021 with her grandson Mason Surber by her side.

Loma was born September 25, 1932 in Mason County, Texas to Leo and Jewel Starks.

On July 23, 1949 Loma married her best friend J.C. Surber. Loma was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Sonora. There she was able to share God’s love through programs like Team Kids and Vacation Bible School. Loma also cared for others through her service on the Bereavement Committee.

Loma loved spending time with friends and family. She loved sharing adventures at Hext with her grandkids and great grandkids. You could always count on Loma for a cup of coffee or a good meal with friends.

There to welcome her into Heaven with open arms are husband, J.C. Surber; sons, Randy Surber and Rex Surber; brother, Charlie Starks; sister, Mary Lou Pearce.

Left to cherish her memory are sister Sue Traylor; grandson Mason Surber and wife, Mallory and their children, Marlee and Mackenzie; son, Ron Surber and wife, Suzanne and their children, Jeremy Surber and Renee and their children, Kendall and Jaycee; Jason Surber and his children, Hagen, Emma and Hudson; Sawncy Jones and husband Luke; Sabrina Surber; granddaughter Jennifer Goins and her children, Melissa Surber, Kristina Zabecki, Ethan Goins, Tyler Goins; grandson Jeffery Surber; and numerous nieces and nephews and special friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 1st at First Baptist Church Sonora at 11:00 a.m. with Matt Killough officiating. Pallbearers will be Mason Surber, Jeremy Surber, Jason Surber, Stormy Starks, Mike Green, Garrett Watkins and Wyatt Watkins.
