On Sunday, December 15, 2019, Teresa Clois Rogers Odom, loving mother of four children, passed away at the age of 54.

She was born August 7, 1965, in Houston, Texas to Clois James and Miriam Mattox Rogers.

Teresa was currently attending college for Drug and Alcohol Counseling where she was completing her final two classes.

Her true love in life was her family. Her children, Michael, Olivia, Jacob and Tessa (her mini me), meant everything to her.

Teresa was always in pursuit of her dreams and was quite the entrepreneur who never gave up. If she had a fault, it was that she had a tendency to accept the word of others at face value, rarely questioning their sincerity or truthfulness. She always tried to find good in people and was a devoted and loving friend.

Teresa was known for her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clois James Rogers; mother, Miriam Maddox Rogers; and nephews, Jonathan Ellison and James Ellison.
Teresa is survived by her children, Michael Rogers of Orlando, Florida, Olivia Galando and husband, Elias, and their daughter, Rosaleigh, of McComb, Mississippi, Jacob Odom of Austin, Texas, and Tessa Kay Lee Rogers of De Leon, Texas; brothers, B. Eugene Ellison and wife, Susan, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Benny James Ellison of Houston, Texas; sister, Mary Ann Pajestka and husband, Charles, of Sonora, Texas; many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Funeral services celebrating Teresa’s life will be held Thursday, December 19, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Nowlin Anders Funeral Home, De Leon, Texas, with Brother Ray Seckinger officiating. Interment will follow in De Leon Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Michael Rogers, Jacob Scott Odom, Christian Kenney, Ronnie Almeida, Michael Schmitt, and Dan Burnett.

The Odom family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Comyn Baptist Church or the Church or charity of your choice, in memory of Teresa.
