Bobbie Ann Smith went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 21, 2017.

Bobbie was born January 5, 1934, in Sonora to Cordie and Jack Drennan. 

She attended Sonora Public Schools and graduated from Sonora High School in 1952. 

Bobbie married Joe Neil Smith August 16, 1952. After years and years of waiting, their precious baby girl Linda Sue was born September 30, 1961. 

Bobbie was a longtime employee of Sutton County where she served as the County District Clerk from 1990-1999. 

She also enjoyed her own real estate business. After retiring from Sutton County she continued her real estate business for several years. 

Bobbie was also a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Sonora. She served her church in many capacities from teaching Sunday School to serving on committees. 

She will be leaving behind a legacy as leader of the Gleaner's for many years. Bobbie was a pillar of First Baptist Church as well as the community of Sonora.

Bobbie was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, Grandbobbie, and life long friend to many. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Neil, her parents Cordie and Jack, her loving daughter Linda Hooper, two infant sons, her sisters Fran Johnson and Ruth Ford, and brother Rusty Drennan.

She is survived by her son in law Tony Hooper, granddaughter Whitney Hooper, granddaughter Joli Gipson and husband Brody, grandson Colt Hooper and great grandchildren Levi and Branson Gipson all of Odessa. 

She is also survived by her brother Roland Drennan and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. 

Services were held Friday, February 24, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Sonora. 

Burial followed at Sonora Cemetery.
