Dan Pechacek, of Sonora, Texas, passed away unexpectedly from a pulmonary embolism on Tuesday, March 16, 2021.

He was born in Abilene, Texas to J.D. and Jackie Pechacek.

Danny Wade was the oldest of 9 children. He graduated from Chillicothe High School and received his degree from Chaminade University in Hawaii.

He continued his education at UT Arlington. He served his country in the Army working on radio communications and retired from the oil and gas industry after many years of dedicated service in various capacities.

He was a man of faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sonora. He was a strong man but possessed a servant’s heart, often helping others. One of his favorite Bible verses was John 3:16 and he passed on 3-16-21.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a man of few words but often shared valuable advice and enjoyed swapping stories with others. He loved spending his spare time outdoors and was an avid craftsman and reader. He enjoyed listening to music and playing the guitar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Jackie Pechacek and grandson, Joseph Daniel Pechacek.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Sydonia Pechacek, children, Jason (Kara) Pechacek, Jeremy (Rami) Pechacek, Lashelle (Michael) Childress, Janelle Pechacek, Daniel Pechacek, grandchildren, Riley Williams, Mary Pechacek, Dakota Martindale, Keirdan Sherman, William Pechacek, Michael Pechacek, Andrew Pechacek, Adele Pechacek, Joseph Pechacek, Edward Griffith, Emily Pechacek, Wyatt Pechacek, Adelyne Pechacek, siblings, Nancy Hard, Dianna (Essex) Farley, Jerry (Melinda) Pechacek, Larry (Stacy) Pechacek, Ronnie (Brenda) Pechacek, Carol (Kent) Sanders, Roger Pechacek, Peggy (David) Allen, sister-in-law, Rachelle (Tommy) Mallory, numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.
