Elfida “Buela” Torres Martinez, age 91, of Del Rio, Texas, was called home by her loving Jesus on March 14, 2022. She left this Earth in the peace and in the comfort of her home surrounded by her children and granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cesario Martinez, her parents; Maria and Emiliano Torres, brothers, Jesus Torres and Demacio Torres and son-in-law, Mario Gamez.
She is survived by her children; JoAnn Gamez, Samuel Martinez and Ramiro Martinez, 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 5 siblings and countless nieces and nephews.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, church member and friend. She was a housekeeper and homemaker and enjoyed traveling, baking, shopping, spending time with her family and attending church.
Our family would like to thank St. Ann’s Catholic Church and Father Felix for a beautiful service, Veronica’s Angels for the rosary and Hospice of San Angelo for the loving care they provided for Buela.
