One new case of COVID-19/Coronavirus has been reported in Sutton County, according to a local county official.

The individual is a male in his 60s.

The new case increases the local count to 4.

There are currently, nine test results still pending,

Sutton County confirmed its first case of COVID-19 Thursday, June 18.

Two additional cases were reported on June 22.

Texas Governor Gregg Abbott reinstated a number of COVID-19 related restrictions on Friday. These restrictions include banning alcohol sales by bars to patrons inside their establishment. Take out sales are still allowed.

Additionally, restaurants may remain open for inside dining, but only at a capacity of 50 percent, Abbott said.

Outdoor gatherings of more than 100 people must be approved by local officials, he added.

Gov. Abbott also ordered the closing of all rafting and tubing companies.

AS for Sutton County and the City of Sonora, no official changes or mandates have been announced as of Saturday evening.
