The Sonora Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual banquet on Friday, April 16, 2021.

This year the theme of the chamber banquet will be honoring educators. The school nominated and voted on the Educator of the Year and the award will be presented at the banquet. Nominees for this year are Emily Rogers (Pre k – 2), Christina Rodriguez (3rd – 6th) Kassidy Sherrill (Middle School) Angie Kissire (High School).

The Sonora Chamber of Commerce awards committee compiled nominees for the Citizen of the Year and Business of the Year and ballots were mailed out to all Sonora Chamber of Commerce members for voting.
Nominees for Business of the Year are The City of Sonora, Lawrenco Equipment Specialists, Lowes Market, and Pharmhouse Drug.

Nominees for Citizen of the Year are Desiree Alvarado (Wellness Center) David & Hanna Blesing (Sonora Outlaw Rodeo President, Hospital) Casey Berkhouse (Ministerial Alliance) Pennie Litterell (SISD School Nurse). Please come out and support and congratulate all these nominees.

There is a gun raffle, tickets may be purchased from any board member or at the Sonora Chamber of Commerce office.

There will be a buffet style dinner at 6:30 with awards to follow.

This year there will be a dance from 8:00 P.M. - 11:00 P.M. featuring Colby Swift. This will be a BYOB event with a $5 cooler charge no glass is allowed.

The tickets are $20 per person or $150 for a table of 8. The people in Sonora are what make our community so wonderful and we look forward to the opportunity to honor our special citizens.
