The IRS updated their announcement that was originally made on February 22, 2021 to include information affecting farmers or fishermen on March 12, 2021. TX-2021-02, February 22, 2021 is for victims of the winter storms that began February 11, 2021. The announcement says victims now have until June 15, 2021, to file various individual and business tax returns and make tax payments.

Following the recent disaster declaration issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the IRS announced that affected taxpayers in all 254 counties will receive tax relief. This includes individuals and households affected by severe winter storms that reside or have a business in any of these counties.
