With just one week remaining before the annual Sutton County Days and Rodeo, the 2018 Queen Candidates hosted a special dinner and style show Friday, August 3, 2018.

The occasion followed individual interviews before a panel of judges as part of the traditional competition for the crown.

The evening also provided an opportunity for the girls to sell rodeo tickets and add more dollars towards their chance of becoming the next Miss Sutton County.

The five young ladies demonstrated individual talents in communication in front of judges Penny Graves, Pam Miller and Lara Teague.

Before the start of the style show, Miller told the crowd all of the girls were exceptional young ladies making it difficult to narrow their decision for one over the other.

“It was hard to choose,” Miller said. “They were all good.”

Following their interviews, Rivers Martinez, Dekota Morrow, Adamari Mata, Gabriela Zapata and Abigayl Portilo welcomed guests to the Bump Gate Café where they also waited tables.

After the meal and dessert, patrons turned their attention to the evening style show finale before the close of the evening.

One by one, each of the girls were introduced while she took a stroll down the center of the café showing off an ensemble of clothing and accessories.

Style items were provided by local and nearby retail boutiques. Dinner was provided by the Bump Gate Café.
