The Lady Bronco volleyball team finished the season as the District 5-3A District Champions, Bi-District Champions and Area Qualifiers. The Lady Broncos were 25-17, 8-2 in district and playoffs. The Lady Broncos only had 5 returning varsity players and only 2 being returning starters. The additional 5 that made the team this year had to learn quickly how to adjust to playing at the varsity level.

Tournaments were quickly used as opportunities to learn how to play together and build a better team morale. The Hondo tournament the Lady Broncos won the consolation side which would set things into motion. We had our first game/dual on Aug. 10th against Junction and Llano. The Lady Broncos won both games and all three teams started the season as 2-0. This led to a 7-0 run for varsity in our pre-district games. Almost a month later, varsity final dropped a game in the regular season games on Sept. 7th against TLCA, 3-2. We would drop the following two games against Harper and Wall and come back and finish our pre-district season with two more wins against Comfort and Lake View with a record of 9-3.

We started district on Sept. 25th on the road against Compass Academy. This game would set things in motion for district, as the varsity girls beat Compass 3-2 in an enduring match. This led to an 7-0 run again as the varsity girls were able to shut down the remaining district teams. A late loss to Coahoma would humble the team as we set our sights on the post season. The last district win on Senior Night against Reagan County would solidify our District Champion title and finish 7-1 in district play.

Our Bi-district match up was against the TLCA Lady Eagles on Nov. 2nd. We knew that we were fully capable of beating them earlier in the season and had to put that to the test again. We won 3-1 to claim the bi-district champion title. We were now 17-4 in regular season games playing against Brock in our Area playoff game. The Lady Broncos fell to the Brock Lady Eagles in the Area playoff game in Brownwood, 3-0.
