The Sonora Broncos Varsity stole the lead late in the game in a 13-3 victory over Ingram Moore on Tuesday.

The game was tied at three with the Broncos Varsity batting in the bottom of the fifth when Hunter O’Banon tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Ingram Moore scored three runs in the first inning, but the Sonora Broncos Varsity still managed to pull out the victory.

Ingram Moore scored its runs on a triple by Kam C. Ingram Moore opened up scoring in the first inning, when Kam tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

In the bottom of the first inning, Varsity Broncos tied things up at three when the Broncos Varsity scored one run on a stolen base.

Jaime Buitron was the winning pitcher for the Varsity Broncos. The righty surrendered three runs on five hits over six innings, striking out 11.
The Sonora Broncos Varsity racked up six hits in the game.

Buitron and O’Banon both managed multiple hits leading the team. Sonora is 1-0 on the young season.

The Varsity Broncos will be playing in the Ozona Tournament this Thursday and Friday. They will start the tournament play at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday against Junction.

Friday they are scheduled to play back to back games against Brady at Noon followed by Central JV at 2:00 p.m
