Raquel (Rachel) Ramos 44, passed Friday, April 22, 2016, at home peacefully surrounded by family.

Rachel, as everyone knew her by, was born November 30, 1971 in Sonora to Rodolfo (Fito) and Amelia Ramos.

She moved to San Angelo, TX and worked for Shannon Clinics, Dr. Duarte’s office, Community Clinic and Dr. Carrisales’ office for over 15 years altogether.

She later moved back home to her hometown and was very active at her new business she had recently started.

Rachel never met a stranger and she was always ready to give anybody a helping hand.

She had a beautiful smile on her face all the time. She will be so greatly missed.

Survivors include one son, Abraham Manuel Navarrette, Laura, and one grandson Manuel Enrique, whom was Gemmas pride and joy; one daughter Isela Nicole Navarrette and their father Al Navarrette all of Grape Creek, TX; mother, Amelia Ramos, Sisters: Gloria Ramos, children Chris, Gabby, Jessica, Jose and their father Sergio Gutierrez, Connie Castilleja, Armando, children Armando Jr, Andres, Angel, Sulema, and Felicity; Diana Virgen, Victor, and daughter Savannah; Brothers: Rodolfo Ramos Jr., Ruth, and children Zack, Issac, and Caleb; Fernando Ramos children Shaun and Derek and their mother Anna Aguero; Esequiel (Zeke) Ramos, and daughter Lissandra and mother Laura and numerous family and friends.

Rachel was preceded in death by father, Rodolfo (Fito) Ramos, brother; Jericho (JJ) Ramos, Niece; Amanda Marie (Mandy) Castilleja, Nephews; Fernando (Fernie) Ramos and Victor (baby Vic) Virgen Jr.

Pallbearers were her nephews; Chris Gutierrez, Andres and Angel Castilleja, Shaun and Derek Ramos, uncle Jose Ramos, brother - in- law Sergio Gutierrez, and son Manuel Navarrette.

Rachel requested in lieu of flowers to make a donation to the Colon Cancer Centers adding “No child should have to go through the pain and suffering endured by the disease.”

A visitation was held with family present at Kerbow Funeral Chapel.

Funeral mass was held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Lionel officiating.

A burial followed the mass at Sonora Cemetery, directed by Kerbow Funeral Home.

The family wishes to extend a very special “Thank You” to Hospice and her nurse Jennie, for all the little extras you added to spice up her world and to Dr. Cummings and the team of doctors from Shannon Hospital and the Cancer Center Treatment in San Angelo, Dr. Fleishmann, Dr. Coyle and the Cancer Treatment Center of Dallas, TX we say “THANK YOU” for all your loving and caring ways of treatment extended to our Rachel.
