Ronnie Lee Geske, 66, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019.

Ronnie is preceded by parents Roy and Betty Geske of Kermit, Texas and brother Roy Geske Jr of Bakersfield, California.

He is survived by his wife and three children Eric Lee, wife Candi; Jason Wayne, wife Lindsey; Kimberly Ann Boggs, husband Rocky; five grandchildren, Caleb and James Geske, Corben, Gavin and Casen Boggs.

Ronnie enjoyed outdoor activities, hunting, fishing and collecting antiques.

He was raised in Kermit, Texas and one of his favorite outdoor activities was sports.

In high school, where he met his future wife of 46 years, Debra Elizabeth Payton, he was awarded a scholarship to play football at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

Debra also enrolled at NWOSU and they were married in Alva, Oklahoma in 1973.

Later, the couple with their three children, returned to their home town and Ronnie would join his father working at West Texas Gas Company.

He was active in little league and was a volunteer in the Kermit Volunteer Fire Department.

In 1988, the family moved to Sonora, Texas where he started a career in road and bridge construction.

He worked with both state and local highway departments as inspector for the Texas Department of Transportation and superintendent for Sutton County Road Department. In 1999 Ronnie continued work on state and interstate highways with TXDOT contract construction company Price Construction, LTD.

He retired as road superintendent for Price Construction in 2009.

Ronnie spent his last years in Sonora. Although confined to a wheelchair, he continued hunting and fishing until his health left him unable.

Family and friends will remember Ronnie as cheerful, adamant, and for his sense of humor.
