Geneva Mae Martin Parks went to meet her maker on October 6, 2024. Geneva was born on March 15, 1935 to Biddy, Sr. and Dilly Waldrum Martin in Del Rio, Texas.
She lived a unique early life growing up in the Big Bend area. In 1954, Geneva married Jim Parks of Fort Stockton, Texas. Over their 60 year marriage, they resided in Fort Stockton, Burnett and Sonora, Texas.
Geneva had multiple interests, but above all she was the guiding matriarch of her family.
Geneva is survived by two sons, Will Parks and wife Janis, and Marty Parks and wife Cathy.
Five grandchildren, Joel Parks and wife Arley, Lauren Davis and husband Lance, Jared Parks and Rita Martinez, Clayton Parks and Marci Parks. Eight great-grandchildren, Chloe and Ryder Carrol, Clair, Sophie and Piper Davis, Ellie, Brody and Nora Parks, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to the many angels who cared for her at Schleicher County Nursing Home and Concho Hearts hospice. She loved you all.
A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sonora, Texas on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
