Rising from the Flood: Sutton County’s Commitment to Resilience Through Updated Hazard Mitigation Plan

Sutton County Emergency Management and the Sonora City Emergency Management Team, in collaboration with other local leaders, have taken on the critical task of developing a comprehensive plan to safeguard our community from future disasters. Stakeholder leaders were from LMH Hospital, Sonora Volunteer Fire Department, Sonora Independent School District and our local Emergency Medical Services. The Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM) has been on board from the start directing positive progress with this plan’s development.
