Sonora City Council met Monday, November 17, 2025, for the swearing in of the newest officer and to handle regular business. Mayor Juanita Gomez open the meeting with prayer, “Calm the anger and division within our community and help us move past the words and rumors that so easily spread, especially through social media. Remind us that our words have power- to heal or to harm- and that we are called to build each other up, not to tear down.”
