The Sonora High School Bronco cheerleaders earned a third-place finish at the UIL Spirit State Championships on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, at the Fort Worth Convention Center, marking the program’s highest placement at the state level.

The final home game for the Sonora Broncos’ 2025 football season did not go as expected.

Last Friday the Broncos were on the road in Christoval for the sixth time since 2020. The Broncos evened up the series with a 38-14 victory over the Cougars.

The Sonora Broncos boys cross-country team capped off a memorable 2025 season with a 10th-place finish at the UIL Class 2A State Cross Country Championships held Saturday, November 1, at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. The race featured 152 runners representing 16 of the best teams in Class 2A and the Broncos proved once again that they belong among the state’s elite.
